This Privacy Policy describes how Culled ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application.
Culled is designed with an on-device-first architecture. All photo and video analysis — including similarity detection, best-shot scoring (sharpness, eye status, exposure), and video compression — is performed locally on your device. We do not upload your photos, videos, or their contents to any server owned or operated by us or any third party.

We may use standard, privacy-preserving diagnostic tools (such as Apple's App Store Connect analytics or basic crash reporting) to understand app stability and performance. This data is aggregated and anonymized where provided by Apple's platform tools, and is not linked to your identity or your media content.
Because your photos and videos are processed entirely on-device, we have no access to them and therefore cannot use them for any purpose — including advertising, profiling, machine learning model training, or sharing with third parties.

Culled may rely on Apple's platform-level services (e.g., iOS system frameworks, App Store Connect) which are governed by Apple's own privacy policy, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
Since your photos and videos remain on your device and are not transmitted to us, their security is governed by your device's own security settings (passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, iOS encryption). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date.
Any minimal diagnostic data we may receive is handled in accordance with industry-standard security practices.
Culled does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant age threshold in your jurisdiction). The App does not include features directed at children, and since no photo/video content is transmitted to us, there is no server-side collection of children's media.
The current version of Culled is fully free, contains no advertisements, and offers no in-app subscriptions or purchases. Should this change in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly, and users will be notified through the App Store update notes and/or an in-app notice.
If you use Culled outside of the United States, please note that because all core processing is on-device, your media content itself is not transferred internationally. Any minimal diagnostic data may be processed via Apple's infrastructure in accordance with Apple's own data practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above, and where appropriate, through an App Store update description or in-app notice.
